A research proposal jointly submitted by Professor Itsuki Ajioka of Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), and KSP, Inc. (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, CEO: Norikazu Kubota), has been selected for the JST D-Global: Deep-Tech Startup International Expansion Program.

The project aims to establish a startup to pioneer a new class of therapies distinct from conventional molecular medicines. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on individual molecular function, this innovative modality utilizes the functional self-assembly of peptide-based molecular assemblies to achieve therapeutic effects.

Under the D-Global framework, both the commercialization-promoting institution and the research lead serve as co-representatives. With strong project management from KSP and the scientific leadership of Professor Ajioka, the team seeks to build a globally impactful deep-tech startup that can drive transformative change in the field of regenerative medicine.
